This Week in Astrology — Full Moon in Taurus

Awakening you to the Archetypal Movement during the week ahead.  The purpose of this blog is to make you aware of the energy available astrologically, for the purpose of spiritual and personal development.

On November 4th, 2017 there will be a Full Moon in Taurus opposed the Sun in Scorpio.  20 minutes before the Sun and the Moon come into exact opposition, Venus in Libra and Uranus in Aries come into an exact opposition as well.  This means a lot of change is in store in the realms of perception and love.

The Full Moon in Taurus at the 11th Degree invites happy and smooth outcomes to any problem you may be facing on the material plane.  The Sun in Scorpio finds us answering for our past mistakes.  Denial and blameshifting are not looked upon favorably at this time alternatively accountability and taking responsibility for past mistakes will be rewarded favorably under this full moon.   The differences between the two actions mentioned above are whether you learned from your mistake or are you going to throw a pity party for yourself because you couldn’t live up to a particular standard.  This Full Moon is keeping you grounded through any turmoil you may be experiencing and will show up as a proverbial life raft in the nick of time.   Learning to unplug your self from outside sources and connect with yourself to align with what you love.

Venus will be opposing Uranus exactly 20 minutes before the full moon reaches it’s exact opposition, highlighting changes in your love life.  This is not limited to romantic love but anything you are connected to on a deep spiritual level.  What makes this a magical full moon is that no matter your present conditions or limitations, it will not be a factor during this time.  You can enact quick and rapid change for yourself at this time.  Will it last forever? That’s a whole other subject.  If you focus on areas where you are competent it will have effects in the areas where you lack competence.  Overall, change and excitement are on the cusp ready to spill over into your life, so be encouraged.

This Full Moon has an aspect of Neptune mixed in this go around, ushering in the magic to this current transit.  Neptune is the watery and illusionary world we live in.  Where we are and our current situation is 100% transitory.  We are in a state of constant flux and are generally positioned wherever are dominant thoughts lead us.  Where are your thoughts leading you? In the upcoming days reflect and examine your thoughts, determine your dominant thoughts, and you will determine your destination.  This is a time when your psychic abilities will be on high and your intuition will have you in the right place at the right time.  The work required during this Full Moon transit is for you to practice allowing instead of blocking.

777 Chakra Workshop — Sacral Chakra

The Svadhisthana Chakra or better known as the Sacral Chakra is second of the seven primary Chakras in Hindu Tantric thought.  It translates to “one’s own base,” describing the experiences of the first seven years of life that has created your base on a spiritual level.  As a child, you can remember yourself as a soul, ultimately the desire to be successful and loved takes over the connection to the soul and we lose it.  The part of you that wants to be identified rises up and separates itself from its soul aspect.  The more one becomes aware of itself as human the more they distance themselves from the soul.  This energy is stored in the Sacral Chakra right below the navel and above the genitals.  This area is the base of your creation, pleasure, and peace.  The svadhisthana chakra is your emotional base.   When this chakra is balanced you experience a balance of masculine and feminine energies, you are aware of yourself as a human and as a soul, and you are experiencing inner harmony.  True peace within.

swadhisthana

The element associated with the Sacral Chakra is Water.  Water in the aspect of baptism and cleansing of any unneeded energies.  Water in the aspect of emotions and how they cause disturbances to the chakra.  One must go in and examine their emotional frequency to align the Sacral Chakra.  The Sacral Chakra is a 6 petaled lotus, the petals represent the 6 modes of unconscious emotions: affection, pity, destructiveness, delusion, disdain, and suspicion.  The emotion of affection if not examined or checked will imbalance this chakra, by expecting love instead of giving love, your masculine and feminine energy are imbalanced.  Pity is when we are emotionally unable to offer assistance to yourself or others.  Destructiveness shows up an addiction or any unhealthy habit we seem to not be able to overcome.  Delusion is any beliefs we have without superior and infallible evidence to the contrary.  If we believe things that are simply untrue and unexamined this will adversely affect the chakra.  Disdain for yourself or others is the lack of an ability to give credit or attribute worth when it is due.  Negative emotions block you from being grateful.  When we mistrust ourselves or others without any proof to do so, and basically being paranoid about the future, without any reason to.  This shows up as the cognition of suspicion.   The six petals of unconscious emotions are the waves or ripples that cause a disturbance to the original peace of mind.  The center of your being is a cool and calm ocean when we allow negative emotions to enter our being that once cool and calm ocean is no more.

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” – John Kabat-Zinn

In the Muladhara Chakra, we were awakening our Kundalini, at the Svadhishthana Chakra we are making the decision to continue this process of self-discovery.   If we are truly serious about spirituality and its practices then we are ready to stop filling holes and voids of a sleeping Kundalini,  and we are ready to let go of addictions, repressed emotions, and a lack of creativity.  Now you can see why most bow out at the Sacral Chakra because past this point your personality is required to change.  Once you travel past this portal, there is no going back.   The Svadhishthana Chakra is the center of the personality, not the one you have gained through life, but the personality life has separated you from.  Your divine personality.   Our lower desires are the things we must face and examine, these things are the source of our regeneration or destruction if unchecked.

The Void

Eros was a primeval god, son of Chaos, the original primeval emptiness of the universe.  When we speak on primeval we are simply saying the first aspect of that which we call Love.  Eros represents an aspect of love that is sleep within us all.  Since Eros is sleep we look for things to take its place in our lives.  In Greek thought, there are 4 types of love: storge – familial love, philia – brotherly love, agape – selfless love, eros – passionate love – or life energy.  Eros is an aspect of love rarely addressed because it is socially unacceptable.  It is the opposite of Logos, not better or worse, just opposite side of the same thing.  Where Logos is rational, Eros is the vibration or your inner feeling towards any particular thing.  Eros is our inner desire for wholeness and psychic relatedness.  Eros is the root word for “Eroticism.”   What makes eroticism uncomfortable is that it is not socially acceptable, yet you may personally enjoy the nature of it all.

Love in this aspect is the immortal force within you that lay dormant.  Activating the Sacral Chakra is activating the sleeping Eros within.  The water element associated with this chakra represents the baptismal, cleansing powers of self-discovery.   Once you activate and balance the Sacral Chakra the things you once did to fill the voids in your life will no longer be required.

777 Chakra Workship — Root Chakra

Muladhara

“No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell.”

— Carl Jung

In our quest for spiritual enlightenment, we come across the Chakras, and we wish to deeply understand them on a symbolic level.  In understanding the symbolic nature of the Chakras, we uncover the subconscious codes that bring about self-realization.  The Chakras are spinning wheels of energy located in our subtle body, they represent symbolism and gateways to a deeper understanding of our consciousness.

The Muladhara Chakra or Root Chakra can be seen as an anchor or a deep root, now to some that may be seen as something to hold you back, but on the contrary, our roots allow us to grow and expand.  The root chakra controls the lower body and its functioning, starting with the feet.  The feet are always connected to the ground, even when they are not its only temporary.  Scientists call this phenomenon gravity.   This connection to earth is the gateway to understanding our conscious worlds as it relates to our instinct and desires.  Since our instincts and desires are unconscious, the conscious world is there to reflect the things we need to work on.   Muladhara is a compound word, with Mula meaning root, and Adhara meaning foundation.   So when contemplating the foundation of a house, you recognize its importance for the overall structure and integrity of the building, even though it gets little credit.  That is a way of looking at the Root Chakra.  It represents the womb, the lowest part of the spinal column, the foundation for all life.

The Muladhara Chakra is the house of Shakti Kundalini Energy.  Shakti is a sleeping snake at the base of your spine, if you want to work with the chakra’s and achieve your own self-realization, you must be ready to deal with the truth of your past lives.  The unhappiness or happiness of life lies within the root chakra.  Understand why they say ‘ignorance is bliss’ and ‘the truth hurts’.  When Shakti is asleep at the base of the spine she is seen as a peaceful snake, but when it awakens it can be seen as menacing and poisonous.  The Root Chakra is a closed door, and you can choose to keep it closed if you’re not ready to see the truth.  The darkness has to be brought to light so it can be purified and restored.  Working with the Root Chakra is purifying deep subconscious beliefs and clearing all past obstacles.  It is all about establishing clarity,  so can move forward with true enlightenment.  Life is not completely about what you do, a lot of times its what you don’t do that is important.  In not clearing your subtle body of past life karma, you are doing yourself a disservice spiritually.  In this life we want to remove any tension and blockages, also we want to awaken any dormant energies in our Root Chakra.  We awaken these dormant energies and let them rise to the surface. 70ca4bcfafd07879191a22ba2218c29c

One of the symbols of the Root Chakra is Ganesha the elephant.  The elephant is the most powerful land animal and is forever connected to the earth.  Ganesha represents the beginning of all blessings, power, and obstacle removal.  When we talk about the Root Chakra, we are also talking about roots of your existence as it relates to your experience now.  The cause of your being, the seed, the reason for self-realization.

“Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”  — Matthew 17:20

Working with the Muladhara Chakra means we have to understand and transmute the deep hurts and disappointments and bring them to the surface for healing.  Understanding that these things are transitions and time for learning.  Realizing that problems will always be there and it is not a nuisance and misfortune, but a time to teach and learn.  Understanding that not clearing past life karma of the unconscious variety we repeat our instincts and desires over and over again.  Clarity allows us to see weakness and energy to build our strength.  Insecurity and inferiority complexes could never help us, they only rob us of our energy.

Working with the Chakras is the beginning of working with our psychic functions, awakening them.  The mind, intellect, consciousness, and ego.  These are the four petals of the lotus of the Root Chakra named Mula Kamala. The mind is our memories and thoughts.  The intellect is our understanding of a particular subject.  Our consciousness is the knowing part of our being, the things we know of ourselves.  The ego is the I, the person, you.  These four petals are the four markers that make us human beings.  The roots travel back many lifetimes and they all converge to be the flower which is you.  The Lotus Flower grows in muddy water with deep roots, but the blossom is clear above water.  The water is the illusion of everything you can’t be, the flower is the human.  Somehow we will rise above it, like the lotus.

Lotus-Flower-Meaning-Symbolism-Facts

Understanding psychic energy is understanding the subtle body.  In some circles, it is called the true body or light body.  It is the spiritual energy that controls the physical body.  That is your mind, intelligence, consciousness, and ego.   Understanding the different parts of your psyche and waking up the dormant energies at the base of your spine will bring about the solutions and answers for your salvation and clarity.  The Root Chakra is a reminder that we are always connected to the source.  It is the beginning of our spiritual enlightenment.  Feelings of lack and inequality will soon be corrected when properly working with the Root Chakra.

Keeping it Conscious Episode 7 (Neurasthenia and the cure for Americanitis)

Neurasthenia is a psychopathological term signifying a depletion of the energy of the central nervous system said to cause fatigue, anxiety, headache, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, neuralgia, and depression.  The root word of ‘neuro’ meaning nerves and ‘asthenia’  meaning an abnormal weakness or lack of energy.  Neurasthenia is no longer an official diagnosis in America, physicians recognize conditions as separate disorders now, providing more and different drugs for various symptoms.  This disease is the result of living in a monetary system.

Let us look at the various symptoms of neurasthenia, we get fatigue from working so much, anxiety from not knowing our economic future, headaches, and pain from stress, and depression for not having enough “stuff”.  Neurasthenia is a disease of the central nervous system when all the “energy” is depleted from it.  So in the context of energy, if other beings and happenings are in control of your energy then you have to check their intentions.  As far as the media, what do you think happens when you give it your energy? What is its purpose? Is it to excite and stress you?

We are in control of our own energy, but we must learn about it.  So when things like social status and how people perceive you come up in your mind if not addressed it can cause mental illness.  If society does not validate you and you don’t validate yourself the usual outcome is depression and anxiety.  We live in a capitalistic society that has no consideration for your mental health if you can’t afford it.  Even Mental Health is a business.  The flip side is basing your life so deep in greed and manipulation that you crumble on the inside based on making daily sacrifices to maintain a facade.  A lot of things we want is based off advertisement, wealth differential, and subconscious mind control.  The fact that you can’t have certain things, do certain things, go certain places effects your central nervous system negatively.  Materialism as defined, a tendency to consider material possessions and physical comfort as more important than spiritual values, has disrupted your central nervous system, thus disconnected you from God, I will explain.

Chakra-Chart1

Why they do it is because of the nervous system. The nervous system is the connection between body and spirit. When that is disrupted your spirit and body do not have a direct line of communication.  The Chakras are the spiritual equivalent of the scientific/medical central nervous system.  Taking time to reflect on your inner being is equated to refilling the “energy” of the central nervous system.  Thus curing the disease of living in America, Americanitis.  Understanding that this is a central nervous disease, you can relate it to a Chakra Spiritual disease if you were seeking out spiritual solutions.

Healing the Root chakra in this context deals with materialism, addiction, indulgences and how they affect you mentally and emotionally.  It’s about being honest with yourself and accepting where you are without the need to medicate or cover over insecurities.  Creating time and space for yourself.

Healing the Sacral Chakra is about you being honest about your sexual energy is it stable or in a good place.  Are you fulfilled sexually and are you honest enough with yourself and others to do something about it, in a healthy way.

Healing the Solar Plexus is based on how you are able to accept or manipulate the world around your desires.  How far are you away from your desires, and are you making efforts towards them will dictate whether you a ready to heal.

Healing the Heart Chakra is asking are you capable of giving love without concentrating on what you receive.  The need for recognition and praise is what blocks the healing of the Heart Chakra.  The key is to love and give love, without any expectations.

Healing the Throat Chakra is asking if you are able to clearly communicate with yourself in relation to the outside world.  Are you who you say you are? Speaking light into darkness, or speaking negative affirmations creating that reality.

Healing the Third Eye is when you are overthinking is blocking your intuition and you realize it.  Allow your third eye to guide you through this matrix, by concentrating on its faults, you are blocking the solutions.

Healing the Crown Chakra is realizing that you are connected to Source(God) at all times.  The feeling of being disconnected to Source(God) is the cause of all uncertainty, feeling lonely, and being depressed.  Recognizing this bridge that exists internally and eternally will answer all questions.

This is why American physicians mislabeled all of these diseases to get you off the scent of your central nervous system and what was needed to have a healthy one.  They realized that through healing your spiritual centers you could heal your whole body and they would have nobody to sell drugs to.  Recognizing that through sincere Chakra work and consistent meditation one can heal themselves of all mental and physical illnesses.  Also, that stepping back from a materialistic point of view, will ease some of the stress you put on yourself, begins to clear the way for clarity.  With clarity we reach illumination.

This Week in Astrology – New Moon in Libra

This New Moon in Libra brings luck, misfortune, jokes, happenstance, and sudden changes.  This New Moon like all New Moons mark an ending of an old cycle and the beginning of a new cycle.  The New Moon is also known as the Dark Moon because it can not be seen at night with zero illumination.  This is in alignment with the darker aspects of  third decan Libra, just steps away from the transformative Scorpio, which this New Moon falls on.  Making the feeling of shifts and transitions palpable to the senses.  As we sail into the unknown, we can choose our emotion, since we truly don’t know where we are headed.  We can choose to be excited or dreadful.  The Suns travel through Virgo and Libra post eclipse has given us time to examine and analyze, now the time comes to make a decision moving into Scorpio.  This may not be a physical alignment more so an emotional commitment.  This New Moon being aligned with Jupiter matches our optimism with circumstance.  Words like happenstance, coincidence, and luck come into play during this time.  Putting yourself in the proper alignment mentally and emotionally is important.  Mercury’s influence on this New Moon provides the Comic Relief of this otherwise tough transit.  Comedy is based on truthful observations of daily life.  Noticing these baseless behaviors will provide a chuckle, giving you the proper alignment to experience the light within the darkness.   Can you recognize the joke and accept it, would be the question I would ask.  The most powerful aspect of this New Moon transit is its opposition to Uranus in Aries.  Uranus signifies major change, when there is an opposition to Uranus you can expect something big.  Donald Trump has a Moon oppose Uranus transit in his natal chart, as well as other polarizing celebrities.  You can expect this energy to create a massive flip out, so be conscious of how you personally will respond to this sudden change of events.

Keeping it Conscious Episode 6 (Pomba Gira and the Divine Whore symbolism)

Pomba Gira is a liminal spirit of the Afro-Brazilian lure.  She is not a singular being but a multitude of spirits that manifest in a variety of ways.  She is the Goddess of the crossroads or better understood by the thresholds.  The moment of becoming, when you let go of your past yet don’t know what the future you holds.  Pomba Gira is seen by some as a healer and a great spirit, while others see her as the wife of the Devil.  This is mainly because she is a spirit that delivers and disrupts the status quo.  Thus she is seen as dangerous and as a prostitute, the lowest on the female social order.   Many prostitutes are targets from rapists, murderers, and human traffickers based on their easy access and vulnerability.  The main reason is that they are likely to be prosecuted because cops and the rest of the society think they deserve it based on their profession.    Thus at the same time, even those woman are protected by the energy of Pomba Gira.  At the very same time, if women were to master the energy of Pomba Gira, that would mean the end of male dominance and inequality.  Pomba Gira has the energy to reveal all answers and give a woman all the power and dominance they can handle.  Pomba Gira’s most famous Avatar that seems to embody her qualities in the most precise manner is the Iberian Peninsula transport, Maria Padilha.

Maria was the consort of a Castilian King Don Pedro.  He was known as a cruel man that killed his wife Bianca, relatives, family, whoever spoke against his mistress Maria.  It was said she had control over him with her 6,000 evil spirits.  This story was of Portuguese and Spanish folklore and traveled to Brazil during the Colonial Years.  When it came to slavery and spirits to use to escape atrocious conditions the people would commonly invoke Maria Padilha to strike down oppression.  She is a very popular diety to contact because she works.  Why it is very little in-depth information on now is because she works.  She is a deity to call when you need to raise your feminine energy to dominate any opposition you face in the world.  Understanding how to contact Pomba Gira is through pure heart and understanding.  She cannot be bought or pimped on you.  Dealing with Pomba Gira is a real experience that when experienced it is hard to deny.

Picture of Pomba Gira (Left) and Kijuana Njie (right).jpg

Pomba Gira is an energy that manifests in people.  She has many different looks, behaviors, and representations.  How you see Pomba Gira, how it manifests for you is totally up to you.  Dealing with these principles we can apply it to recent news in Sports.  Pomba Gira is the Goddess of the Crossroads, in the news she is showing up where sex and sports meet.    In the story of the Offensive Line Coach of the Miami Dolphins Chris Foerster, he reportedly was in a relationship with a woman from Las Vegas named Kijuana Njie.  Chris sent her some incriminating videos of him doing cocaine that she later posted on her social media subsequently leading to his resignation as a coach.  If you listen to her interview, she clearly states that she planned to expose him before he sent the video, but somehow he magically sends her the video without her doing any dirty work.  In this story, you see a man completely blinded by his lust and ruins his reputation behind it.  It’s not like he was a good man, he just appeared to be.  Kijuana Njie brought his negligent behavior to light.  So many people in our world have a perfect exterior and a dark and decrepit interior, its okay to see people for who they really are.  Pomba Gira is the energy that can shine a light on any injustices you may be facing if you ask her.  At the same time Pomba Gira fights for you, her avatars are the same people you forget about almost as a habit.  Realizing there are millions of people trapped in a world they don’t want to be in and they are exposed to the worst of people who simply want to use and exploit them for their own benefit.  Having some form of empathy for the women in the world on the front lines of injustice is key to understanding the energy of Pomba Gira.  It’s not about pity and turning your nose up, it is about gratitude for being there so maybe you didn’t have to.  It’s just a thought.

In conclusion,  the energy of Pomba Gira is available to us if we are interested in using her to crush opposition and create equality.  Pomba Gira is a spiritual resource and a solution to any trial and tribulation you may be experiencing.  Use her in wisdom, not in haste, do your research.  Ase.

This Week in Astrology 10/10 to 10/14/17 (Jupiter in Scorpio)

Orishas of the Week: Oya and Obatala

Theme of the Week:  Letting go of the things that no longer serve us, preparation for transformation.

Jupiter enters Scorpio October 10th 2017

Where Jupiter in Libra was about working through our relationship with the outside world and balancing our inner work to find the greatest expansion of ourselves. Jupiter in Scorpio looks to bring optimism in our darker expressions to bring about expansion through transformation.  Jupiter in Libra was more of choosing your team, and now in Scorpio is more of a vetting of our teammates.  The question is, do they have what it takes.  Jupiter is optimistic and thus represents your optimism, Scorpio represents the darkness necessary for transformation.  Understanding why we go through what we go through and what did we learn from it will be the theme coming up in this current Jupiter Cycle.  Can we learn the benefits of darkness?  Our relationships will be what we bring into this cycle, Scorpio will alert us to the why.  Jupiter is seeking intimacy in Scorpio, the kind of intimacy that brings satisfaction to our carnal desires.  How you are able to handle this energy will be paramount to your expansion over the next 13 months.  Jupiter will be in Scorpio until 11/8/18.  Remember to being the light to any darkness you experience to overcome and thrive during this transit.

Venus in Virgo oppose Chiron in Pisces October 10th 2017

Venus in Virgo represents your love at its highest octave, its greatest potential.  What stands in the way of this is opposed Chiron in Pisces representing your deepest wound.  How adept at you at reconciling your pain and trauma?  Do you mask it or deal with it?  The question of how you actually deal with pain do you let it bring you down or do you cut it off.  In truth our greatest love comes from healing those wounds and moving forward from healing.  The falsehood is when we don’t deal or try to mask these pains and keep acting like it isn’t there.  Active healing is called for during this transit.

Mars in Virgo square Saturn in Sagittarius October 11th 2017

Whenever we experience an aspect to Saturn in Sagittarius the question comes are we aligned with our soul’s purpose.  If we are, Saturn rewards.  If we are not, Saturn disciplines.  Mars in Virgo represents our actions in the context of purpose, the challenge is making the right decisions.  Continuing to walk in our path if we have been sidelined, or managing begin to walk in our light will be highlighted under this transit.  Most people do not like this transit because it requires accountability to be on the positive side of it.  Remember that no shot goes in that you never shoot.

Venus in Virgo inconjunct Uranus in Aries October 11th 2017

Learning how to incorporate imperfections into your perfect vision.  Even better the imperfections of you is what makes you perfect, strange as it seems.  Venus in Virgo representing your highest octave of love, inconjunct/quincunx to Uranus in Aries represents your individual Soul Urge.  Inconjunctions represent integrating the different aspects of our lives.  So this particular aspect is based upon integrating perfection and the unpredictability of our urges and being okay where they lead us.  But at least we went for it.  Where can we let go of things that no longer serve us without emotional turmoil.

Mercury in Libra sextiles North Node October 12th 2017

This transit puts wings on our thoughts and ideas, raises them to another level.  Mercury in Libra is enhanced with balanced mental acuity.  So make sure to be active in the realms of communication, writing, and any creative projects.  Whether the break happens now or later, the work you do now will be the seed you need to plant for a later date.  Stay active.

Mercury in Libra sextiles Saturn in Sagittarius October 12th 2017

Continuing to work towards your future and being aligned with a positive one where you will be rewarded.  Opportunities don’t come knocking everyday and they don’t return because you missed the call.  The saying goes if you stay ready you never need to get ready.

Venus enters Libra October 14th 2017

Our love moves into a conceptual stage.  We begin to examine and investigate the love we truly seek as it evolves.  A perfect place to be to prepare for a New Moon in Libra happening on the 18th.  Libra being an Air Sign and Venus an Earth Planet, we can expect great changes in our ideas surrounding love and how it is expressed.
