New Moon in Aries (April 15th 2018)

Awakening you to the Archetypal Movement during the week ahead.  The purpose of this blog is to make you aware of the energy available astrologically, for the purpose of spiritual and personal development.

On April 15th, 2018 there will be a New Moon in the constellation of Aries at 26°.  The 26th Degree Mark of Aries speaks to overcoming, being inventive, and nonconforming.   Finding answers to solutions through unconventional means.  Under the persona you have created lies deeper work that has to be done.  Ultimately this point represents finding a new way to solve an old problem.   Since this New Moon is in the 3rd decan of  Aries it represents a point of mediation and reconciliation of your life.  Which makes this New Moon, in particular, a powerful one to be experienced or observed.

New Moons represent a time for setting intentions.  Due to coming off of a waning period of releasing and purging, our needs and desires are different.  This is important to understand that we shouldn’t set an intention based on what we think we need.  We can set the intention that is best for our purpose and deepest soul’s desire.  When we set our own intentions more than likely we are trying to manifest a situation to cover a void instead of dealing with it directly.  When doing this, it creates more problems then we had before even deciding to set an intention.  That is why it is best to enter into New Moons with a clean slate and pure heart.   Use the waning time to prepare and cleanse your being of unwanted hinderances and blocks.

During a Full Moon, the Sun is in opposition to the Moon giving it light to project into your mind.  During the New Moon, the Sun and Moon are conjunct/together actually blocking the Sun/light and allowing your Emotions to override your sensibilities.  So when we are speaking of what we want and desire during this time it is not based on anything spiritual, it is based filling a void or creating an expectation to meet that will supposedly make you happy.  It is better to enter this New Moon with concepts rather than realities.  Things like gratitude, prosperity, and health.  As opposed to something specific.  Focus on how we want to feel rather than what we want to experience.  Because you may experience what you want and it makes you feel like shit.  In summation, you may not know what you want.

“A new moon can work powerful manifestation magic because the Moon is furthest from the earth and this frees the imagination from material limits.Thought-seeds planted at the New Moon will grow, so be careful what you wish for!”

The New Moon in Aries will be conjunct Uranus signaling a very dramatic time in the world and for the individual.  We all will be going through changes in one way or another.  It is a time to stand up and think outside the box and awaken the latent forces inside of you that you always knew you had but now it is time to use them.

Ultimately we have to separate truth from facts in our life.  Align with the truth of our being and act out that reality instead of focusing on old facts of a prior existence that no longer serve us.  This is a new beginning and an ending to understanding who we really are on this planet and in this life during this time.  Things that were once comfortable being hidden will no longer find comfort in secrecy.  Uranus’ influence on this New Moon will be forcing us to bring things to the surface.  These shadow influences need to be talked about, addressed and brought to the surface.

There will be a Uranus square Pluto aspect that will be activated during the New Moon in Aries.  Whenever Uranus and Pluto come together in any aspect they represent the necessary and revolutionary changes that have to take place in the collective and the individual.  In this instance, it is a square so it is representing a hardship or a situation that needs to be overcome.  Pluto represents death to who we believe we are and rebirth to what we truly are.  Uranus represents the breaking down of our belief structures and opens us up to what we truly are.  These energies allow us to transform into what we are truly put on this earth to be.    When Pluto and Uranus are together, this creates more of a forceful awakening to who we are.  It encourages us to go beyond our current reality and it is showing us in what ways we can actually do that.  The trouble is trying to run from what is being shown to you at this time, the things that inspire change and growth.  What is truly taking place is a breakdown of old structures and if this is something that disturbs you then it is the breaking down of the structure it is the relationship you have to an old decaying form of being.  Understanding and incorporating the divine feminine into your energy is very key at this time.  (<<<< Check my video on Pomba Gira for more insight)  If you are dealing with your structures falling apart or the old ways of doing things no longer working than you are in perfect alignment for change.  The old must breakdown so it can become renewed and empowered to be something greater than before. If you are experiencing good times in your life will be more magical and more amazing than ever before because you have been through the breakdown to breakthrough process.

The Venus in Taurus opposed Jupiter in Scorpio transit will be highlighted during this New Moon transit.  Bringing to surface some family issues versus business and creative pursuits. Ultimately, try to bring those forces into one picture, because currently they are opposed.  Venus in Taurus represents the possessive attachment we have to physical pleasures.  Jupiter in Scorpio is one’s opportunity to figure out the best solution for your greatest expansion.  An opposition is an irreconcilable inner force.  Some things will never be what we want them to be but we need to understand where those points are so we don’t try to force it.   If you have any interest in the meaning of life itself then this transit will affect you.  If you are concerned about external things and the meaning of life means nothing to you then carry on as normal.  If you are concerned however then it is time to start taking directions in answering those questions you have.  Avoiding it will be the cause of much distress and confusion.

The New Moon in Aries is conjunct with Uranus highlighting the possibility of conflict with the established routines and feelings, with the disruptive energy of Uranus.  Take note of your heart and take note of how your head directs you it directions away from your heart.  If this is happening, make the proper adjustments.  There are almost certain to be surprises in your life during this New Moon phase but it’s important to shake yourself of any routine that is leading you to a place you ultimately don’t want to be in.

Using this energy correctly brings about much success, although problems may seem to be insurmountable.  Finding creative outlets for our ideas and visions is most rewarding.  This is a time to awaken to stereotypes and stigmas that don’t fit you or align with you on the inner level.  It’s easy to be seen as a show-off or seeking attention when you are simply being yourself.  As the saying goes, “if you have haters then you must be doing something right”

Orisha of the Week

This New Moon in Aries above all things represents acting out of self-awareness as opposed to acting out of routine or habit.  No orisha symbolizes this behaviour more than Ogun.  Ogun represents Mars, the ruling planet of Aries.  Ogun represents our assertive and aggressive actions that need to take place for creation to take place.  Ultimately understanding and realizing your highest potential by creating yourself in the image you would like to be.  You have a choice to become a weapon or a tool.  This is what Ogun’s energy speaks to.  Ogun has the intelligence and creativity to invent tools, weapons, and technology.  He has the strength to create a path for the individual.  When you see the machete or the knife that Ogun creates you may think it is a weapon but you must realize that a knife can kill and it can also save you if surgery is required.

“Herukhuti/Ogun….This is the energy within us that removes obstacles that impede us from continuing on our journey to spiritual growth, development and enlightenment. Herukhuti is fiery energy that we can use to “burn” off the antiquated parts of ourselves. In one respect, Herukhuti’s energy is great because he says, “Do it NOW!” However, the challenge in that is actually releasing those parts of ourselves that don’t serve us any longer.”

Ogun has many different paths, the one I want to call to your attention that is applicable to this article is OGGUN ONILE.  “Oggun Onile means “the owner of the land”. It is called this way when it walks through unexplored lands, hunting and discovering. Its title refers to the first that arrives at a virgin place and is established in it, being the first to work it.”  Ogun like many Orishas is syncretized and transferred from earlier Egyptian deities.  In this case, Ogun is Heru-Khuti.  Heru-Khuti is the divine principle that safeguards our existence by any means, he protects you from injustices, and constantly upholds the law “you reap what you sow”.  Heru Khuti operates under the premise that God neither punishes nor rewards nor protects, it is your responsibility.  We are dealing with the fundamental principle that we create our adversity by tuning into our original nature we remove all obstacles instantly.  So the goal is not revenge, the goal is to raise our level of understanding and grow in spirituality.

“In the Kamitic tradition, it is the form in which Heru fights against Set in order to regain the throne (control over one’s life) that the latter usurped. While Heru corresponds to the steady supply of noradrenaline that enables us to carry out all activities of externalization, Herukhuti (Heru-Behutet) corresponds to the extreme surges of adrenalin that support our aggressive, sexual arousal and immune responses.”

Full Moon in Libra (Blue Moon March 31st, 2018)

Awakening you to the Archetypal Movement during the week ahead.  The purpose of this blog is to make you aware of the energy available astrologically, for the purpose of spiritual and personal development.

On March 31st, 2018, we will have a Full Moon at 10° Libra, a full moon occurs when the Sun is Opposite the Moon.  This the second moon in the month of March,  when this occurs colloquially this is called a “blue” moon.  Not because the moon is blue but it is from the word belewe, ‘to betray’.

The original meaning would then have been “betrayer moon”, referring to a full moon that would “normally” (in years without an intercalary month) be the full moon of spring, while in an intercalary year, it was “traitorous” in the sense that people would have had to continue fasting for another month in accordance with the season of Lent.

There is also a T-square to Mars conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius.  A T-square occurs when three planets form a 90-degree angle, creating three squares, which present challenges in our experience.  This will be a Cardinal T Square since the planets involved are Libra, Aries, and Capricorn.  The challenge is learning how to work together, with ourselves and our environment.  There is also a Mercury retrograde Opposite the Full Moon, so this puts immense pressure on our identity, minds, and the words we choose.  This is a time of belief, generally, we can believe positively or negatively, with just as much fervor, and create miraculous or disastrous results.

Since the Full Moon takes place at the 10th Degree of Libra, let us discuss this point.  The 10-degree mark for Libra speaks to relationships, as well as independence, idealism, courage, and sometimes arrogance.  On the Aries side of things the 10-degree marks things such as gullibility, romance, too good to be true because it is, affairs, and changes.  So ultimately this is a relationship test.  The constellation of Libra deals with relationships, the second decan is ruled by Uranus/Saturn, representing ultimately karmic bonds.  Shifts and changes will happen during this full moon, based on the fact that the Sun is shining through to your subconscious (moon) in this area of thought.  It does not matter if you are single, or in a relationship, this applies to whatever the issues you may have in this realm (relationships), so let it come to the surface and heal it.

The straining conflicting energy will be based on the conjunction between Mars and Saturn in Capricorn.  Karma is often unagreeable yet unavoidable.  All of these energies produce reactions based on your awareness.  Negative thought processes create negative realities, and that is always our responsibility to adjust.  The reality is if we don’t take responsibility for our thoughts, planets like Saturn are always there to remind us.  This is not completely resulted in negativity, Saturn can also reward and bring success and riches, but not like in a wish upon a star kind of way.  Always a positive thing to do with an abundance of Mars energy is to find a creative outlet or workout.  Generally burning this energy brings about material results in direct or indirect ways.  Energy is to be used, not just observed.  Mars is the strongest in Capricorn, so this represents a window of really getting some things done.  Things that require hard work and endurance.  The idea of being independent will be fully exposed as in sickness, weird turns of events, or depression.  These things will require you to reach out to others based on need.  A need that was always there.  So be mindful if you are under the assumption that you can do it all by yourself.  Saturn is the Lord of Karma, in other words, you can lie to Hood Mystic but you can’t lie to Saturn.  Mars symbolizes action, motivation, inspiration, and desire.  The idea is to properly channel this energy into fruitful endeavors rather than wasteful ones.

The sign opposite Aries is Libra, the sign of diplomacy. Libra people want to generate peace in their surroundings. Libra is the sign associated with the significant other and with the need to create relationships. Libras are constantly considering what will make them happy in relation to what will make their partners happy. They are often willing to compromise their own positions in search of that illusive point of harmony, of equilibrium.

When a T-Square intensifies the skies, we are forced to make a decision, get off the fence and stop procrastinating. Unpleasant scenarios we’ve been avoiding may demand our attention, like chickens coming home to roost. T-Square energy can be forceful and unstoppable—a bit ruthless.

Jupiter in Scorpio will be sextiling Pluto in Capricorn.  This aspect represents an opportunity and a change of environment, especially if you are looking to exert any power over your life.  It may be that you are in the wrong location, look for opportunities that require moving and realigning with your soul.  Follow your soul/heart, do what feels right instead of thinking yourself out of it.  Follow the money as well, in search of financial improvement, you may not be in the best spot for you, be open to opportunities elsewhere.  This is an inner game as well, it’s important to be open to change and better situations.  Let’s be open to receive and open to change, change for the better.

Full Moon in Libra is not a comfortable moon,  its unsure of itself and may be too concerned what others think.  Are you succeeding for you or for what others may think of you?   Don’t reach over and beyond for love and relationships, the energy is speaking to you overcompensating rather than creating true love bonds.  Let’s not forget to factor that there is a Mercury retrograde opposite this Full Moon, which creates conflict naturally, serving yourself eases the conflict.  We have a Double Square(The Moon & The Sun) to a Mars/Saturn conjunction so the conflicts can show up as communication miscues, affairs, and what you need to do vs what you want to do.  Expect things to come to the surface during this Full Moon phase.  Don’t expect to fall in love with someone you know is not right for you, to work out favorably, understand the energy is showing you something about yourself that you need to work on, not embrace.

Full Moons bring things to the surface that need to be purged and released, be mindful of the things you need and don’t need, and focus on the things you plan to bring to a relationship.  If the energy confuses you or baffles you the best thing to do is to fall back and let things blow over.  Be mindful of being seduced and forced into situations you really don’t want to be in, situations you will later regret.  Ultimately a time for personal power and growth, addressing how you relate to others is the key to understanding this Full Moon transit.

Orisha Of The Week

Oba is the Orisha of marriage and personal transformation, which makes her related to Libra the house of partnership.  Oba is the very first wife of Shango, she was the ideal wife until she was tricked by her sister Oya.  After being embarrassed and kicked out the kingdom she fled to the cemetery where she went through a personal transformation into her true power.  We learn the most about ourselves through our relationships whether business or personal.  These partnerships enhance our lives, make them worth living.  Oba is the Orisha of the home but at the same time, she has fierce support and love for her husband even if it puts her in danger.  In this feminist society, it is no wonder she is not as popular of an Orisha as Oshun or Oya.  She represents feminine duty of the wife and mother, I personally do not see anything wrong with that.  She creates new pathways that have not been invented that gives you respect and the ability to provide for your family.   Oba is patient and a teacher.  Her color is pink, burgundy, and red.  She is a fighter and a warrior, she is also a protector.  She is teaching us how to transmute our pain to become our highest self through our relationships.  Oba is available.
