New Moon in Taurus| Uranus Transits Taurus | May 15th, 2018

Awakening you to the Archetypal Movement during the week ahead.  The purpose of this blog is to make you aware of the energy available astrologically, for the purpose of spiritual and personal development.

On May 15th, 2018 there will be a New Moon in the constellation of Taurus at 24°.  The 24th Degree mark of Taurus speaks to a threat to your safety and environment.  So in this article, we will discuss the things that can be done to identify and eliminate the threat.   This New Moon cycle will no doubt usher in changes in the collective and the individual so it is best to understand these changes.

Why Study Astrology?

“Many scholars know very well that astrology is a science, a very old science, and it is a science, esoterically speaking, related with the Consciousness, the way in which we relate the Consciousness with the cosmos, and how the cosmos is related with us.  The human being is the microcosmos of the macro cosmos. gnosticstudies.org

TAURUS

Taurus-512

So it is best for us to understand the connection of the constellation Taurus and how it relates to us.  The symbol of Taurus is a bull, what is the meaning of this symbol?  We also know that the element of Taurus is earth, how does this relate to us?

The human brain is split into three parts: intellectual(air), emotional (water), and sexual (fire).  The physical body is represented as the element earth.  So from this, we can understand that Taurus rules over the physical body.  Understanding that when we put energy into the different elements within, we then activate the microcosmos of our reality.  Understanding our inner workings compels the body to act, if we are unconscious to those inner workings we may act in ways we don’t understand or even like.  So understanding Taurus is understanding the Bull and that is understanding our physical nature.  The Constellation of Taurus or the Bull is important in various ancient civilization, only a fool would see this as pure idol worship, there must be a deeper significance to the Bull.  The Bull has the same meaning in every language, he is not easily tamed, irresistible, and constantly moving forward.  This is the force of the Earth, this is the force of you.  The Bull(Taurus) represents Earth and everything in it (power).  The cow, in general, is a symbol of life, the bull representing the masculine brute force, the cow representing the milk or the feminine vital sustenance we need for sustaining life.  Taurus rules the throat or the word.  The Word represents something physical, the word identifies physical things.  Like “book” or “house”. Your mind visualizes something physical.  Everything carries a sound or a frequency, even if you can’t hear it, you can see it, and that is based on sound as well.

Language is dumbed down now but there was a time when people knew how to use their words.  That’s where the power of prayer and mantras came from, they may seem useless now, but there was a time when they produced instantaneous results.  To a degree, we still have that power and even though subtle we can still create our reality with our words.  Before anything became physical we had to speak it into existence and this speaks to Taurus energy.

New Moon in Taurus (May 15th, 2018)

new moon

The New Moon is when the Sun and the Moon form a conjunction.  They take place every 28 days.  This New Moon takes place at the 24th degree of Taurus’ Third Decan.  The third decan of Taurus is ruled by Saturn.  Which gives this new moon a serious tone in the form of knowing what’s best for you.  This New moon Activate the fixed Star Algol, known as the evilest star in the heavens.  It is malefic but everything in astrology has two sides, there is a lot to learn from this New Moon if one is open to higher spiritual concepts.  Challenges ultimately do not mean defeat, it may very well mean that there is latent energy within you that will rise to meet any challenge.

New Moons represent times we want to plant seeds, one cycle is ending, while another one is beginning.  Since the Moon and the Sun cancel each other out we are essentially working blind.  This allows you to develop a new perspective on life and create new goals for yourself.

Uranus Transits Taurus (May 15th, 2018)

Personally, when Aries has changed signs they have marked new challenges in my life I had to overcome.  In 2011, Uranus transited into Aries from Pisces.  Aries representing the Warrior energy and Uranus representing the Awakened spiritual energy,  Since 2011 I have been on a path of constantly waking up those forces.  Uranus in Aries’ goal was to awaken the individual spirit of the collective as in preparation for the Taurus transit.  It did not represent peace on earth, it represented the peace within you must have in a changing world.

On May 15th, Uranus will make his introduction in the constellation of Aries bringing about change in how we see our world.  So the questions this transit will ask is “how are you not free financially”.  A lot of people will wake up to the realization that they are simply a wage slave and will look to other alternatives for financial gain.  Not to say that everyone will own businesses but we will find different ways to support ourselves.  You can see this is starting with the rise of Uber and Amazon.  People are beginning to find opportunities outside of the original power structure and with this transit, that trend will continue.

Uranus in Taurus Square Mars in Capricorn

Mars is at the 29th degree of Capricorn, the very last degree, squaring Uranus at the Beginning stages of Taurus.  Uranus and Mars can learn a lot from each other.  Mars finishing up his ascension through Capricorn is fully charged with who he is and what he wants to do, this energy is squaring or challenging Uranus, which is in a New Constellation ready to disrupt the status Quo.  To get on top of this energy one has to be ready for all possible scenarios.  This transit reminds me of the saying “life is 10 percent of what happens to me and 90 percent how I respond to what happens”, I am paraphrasing.  This transit will be activated by the New Moon on May 15th.

New Moon in Taurus Trine Pluto in Capricorn

This New Moon comes with a soft aspect when it is trine the planet Pluto in Capricorn.  We may not know that we are built for the physical changes in our lives emotionally.  Well, a Trine represents an innate gift and possibly something we are born with, whether we recognize that is totally up to us.  Will we face adversity with a positive mindset, or will you quit before you even try?

OSHUN IBU KOLE

Taurus rules the second house of Astrology, the second house rules over possessions, but not just physical, also our traits and characteristics we value in ourselves.  Venus is the ruling planet of Taurus, Venus is the equivalent of Oshun in Yoruba, Ifa, and Santeria religions respectively.  Oshun is the Goddess of fresh water, sensuality, prosperity, love, and fertility.  Oshun is represented as a beautiful young woman.  Oshun has many different paths or names,  Oshun Ibu Kole is just one of those.  This Oshun is the one who gathers dust from sweeping that takes care of the house or the one who picks through and recovers the garbage.  She is inseparable from the vulture.  Vultures are prominent in ancient mythology based on their ability to consume death and produce life.  In Cuba, this version of Oshun is honored above all.  She is the highest of all witches and knows how to make and cast spells. She is known to roll around in mud and is known as the lowest aspect of Oshun, which could also be translated as the most relatable.  So, in other words, this Oshun goes through the darkness to get through the light, as if there is any other way to gain light.

Full Moon in Scorpio April 29th, 2018 |Magic and the Alchemy of Manifestation

Awakening you to the Archetypal Movement during the week ahead.  The purpose of this blog is to make you aware of the energy available astrologically, for the purpose of spiritual and personal development.

On April 29th, 2018, we will have a Full Moon at 9° Scorpio, a full moon occurs when the Sun is Opposite the Moon.  This Full Moon is centered around Magic and the Alchemy of manifestation.  This time is filled with unusual situations and personalities, this is a time for great examination and observation.

There will be a variety of factors pulling strings so there will be no easy solution to problems.  The Moon in Scorpio provides us with a transformative energy, the ability to resurrect your emotions and began to feel again.  In order for this to happen certain emotions have to die. This is speaking to the Full Moon in Scorpio.   Nature always seeks to correct itself by meeting extremes with extremes.  So in regards to the weather and injustices, there has to be an extreme that needs to occur based on the fact that life has to balance itself out.  This does not mean that this Full Moon will be “all bad”, it also has the ability to reach extreme success out of extreme negative circumstances.   Back to the theme of this Full Moon which is Magic and the Alchemy of manifestation, this provides transformative power beyond your dreams and imaginings.  Let’s look at the transits to see how this will come to be.

Full Moon usually brings things to the forefront, things we try to hide, and also things we are trying to manifest.  Ultimately if you are not aware of this force you will ultimately lose control of this energy.  Full Moons are emotional times and emotions can go either up or down.   The light of the Sun(in Taurus) is shining a light into the Moon(in Jupiter), this can be good or bad, depending on the things that reside in your shadow.  Full Moon’s aren’t majestic and favorable, they are not a cure for your ills.  Moon’s are actually satellites for our mind and they will intensify whatever we focus on.  Good or Bad.  So if you are unaware of this energy you are susceptible to manipulation.  Farmers use the Moon’s to plant, the ocean relies on the moon for ebb and flow, so it serves us to get in tune with the magnetic forces so we can properly navigate through this matrix.

The Full Moon in Scorpio 2018 creates a Pentagram in the chart.  This is a result of 2 Yods intersecting.  A yod is three planets that form an isosceles triangle.  The Two Yods are as follows: 1) The Moon inconjunct Venus and Mercury.  2) Saturn inconjunct North Node and Venus 3) North Node trine Mercury to complete the pentagram.  What does this mean?

First of all, an inconjunction or quincunx means ultimately a misunderstanding.  Furthermore, it speaks to a base of understanding, that can lead to something greater.  An example of a quincunx is like the first day of school, the things that transpire on this day may be the basis for a whole school year.  So make sure you are dressed well and feel your best because ultimately it is a chance to make an impact.  I will discuss the aspects in full detail in my video posted at the beginning of this article.

The 3 sisters (Yemoja, Oshun, and Oya)

images (1)

We have a Full Moon in Scorpio so we will examine the 3 orishas who stand on top of this transit.  The Moon in Scorpio(Yemoja & Oya), Sun in Taurus (Oshun).  Oya the ruler of the graveyards is responsible for our transformation, Yemoja the oldest sister and mother like is here for emotional balance, Oshun representing life and enjoyment lets us know that the transformation is ultimately for our growth and development.  If we can properly transform with the proper knowledge we can understand this full moon,  if we are simply just trying to keep things up for posterity’s sake then we will have to deal with Oya’s wrath as opposed to Oya’s assistance.  It’s important for us to not avoid transformation but embrace transformation.    Things ultimately change, so be ahead of the curve while you still have that choice.
