This Week in Astrology — Full Moon in Gemini

Awakening you to the Archetypal Movement during the week ahead.  The purpose of this blog is to make you aware of the energy available astrologically, for the purpose of spiritual and personal development.

On December 3rd, 2017 the Moon in Gemini will be opposed the Sun in Sagitarrius both planets square the planet Neptune in the constellation of Pisces.  Creating a sense of tragedy or comedy, depending on the perspective and understanding of the individual.  This will occur 8 hours after Mercury stations retrograde, conjunct Saturn signifying a reward or discipline awarded to an individual.  Depending on the houses that this happens in your chart.

Add subheading (2)

The Sun is in a fire sign, Sagittarius where it is comfortable being fire and creating more fire.  The Moon in Gemini can be the balance of just the right amount of air and moisture to maintain the fire or if unchecked could blow the flame completely out, forcing one to create from scratch all over again.  This is the energy we are dealing with during this Full Moon.  Understanding the why is important during this full moon transit.  If we are moving through life unconsciously, meaning we have no actual why then this full moon will be a powerful time of awakening.  If we choose not to make emotional adjustments to rectify this unconscious behavior, then we will undoubtedly see discord.  Understanding and living through one’s personal truths are paramount during this time.

This Sun and Moon fall on the 11th degree of Sagittarius and Gemini,  Neptune is at 11 degrees Pisces and Jupiter are at 11 degrees in Scorpio.  All of these 11’s at one time signifies a portal or gateway, a point of transcendence.  Jupiter in Scorpio is trine Neptune in Pisces activating the illumination of deeper truths of your existence.  This may mean comforts and support externally, or this may mean an inner contentment and satisfaction in the knowledge of your truth.  You tend to see the world fully now and this could be that the truth of a situation, relationship, or decision may be hurtful.  We must learn to accept the differences in this world, as opposed to viewing differences as things that need to be eliminated, this point of view only causes more strife.

Understanding this full moon is understanding the lesson of duality, like and unlike being one, as above/so below, etc….  When we actively oppose a situation then we are only making it worse, only when we accept the opposition then can we start to find balance and peace within.  Depending on the houses that correspond to this full moon will determine the illusions in your life that must be overcome and revealed.  So the lies, deception, misinformation, loss, and disappointment is an indication, not an aberration of what needs to be done to correct those illusions in your life that will allow you to transition over into a mode of freedom.

Full Moons are the most powerful astrological transit, combined with a Mercury Retrograde conjunct Saturn, Squared Neptune brings about powerful energy shift in consciousness and physical situations.   Saturn is there making sure you are not giving into the pressure of outside forces and is also there to reward you or remind you that you shouldn’t live for the purpose of making other people happy.  The discipline that Saturn brings is not necessarily bad, it is actually a form of protection for ourselves and our capacity to make bad decisions.  One should be focusing on one’s spiritual truth above all things, but the reality is that people do not fully understand the magnitude of rejecting their spiritual reality and the subsequent consequences.

We prepare for this full moon with the transit of Mars in Libra opposing Uranus in Aries.  The question arises in the form of can we act on our higher spiritual principles(Uranus in Aries) or just simply acting on our ego’s impulse actions (Mars in Libra).  This is a shadow zone, where our fears are projected in situations, people, or occurrences.  You may have to deal with impossible people or situations, the understanding is realizing that you are projecting.  Uranus is the great awakener, so it generally brings with it changes, no matter how comfortable the ego is with those subsequent changes.   You may be on the attack or people may be on the attack for you, understanding the projection, one will immediately alleviate the problem.

8 hours before this full moon starts Mercury conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius stations Retrograde.  Realizing that your own personal beliefs are the main thing oppressing you, is a hard thing to digest and accept.  Those who seek truth have learned to keep persisting no matter the obstacle, there is no obstacle that can not be overcome, you wouldn’t know that if you were taught to give up at any challenge or obstacle.  Mercury representing our mind is ahead of us in Sagittarius, as it retrogrades it comes back and gives us the insight it has gathered ahead of us.  This information is new, and it can sometimes be overwhelming.  One must take the time out to listen to ourselves and take serious one’s visions, dreams, and inner truth.  Being caught up in what everybody else has to say will not serve you.  Pay attention to the “crazy” person, they may have the most to say during this time.  If society or the media is branding someone as crazy or misinformed, you may want to listen to that.  Mercury retrograde is new information, new information sounds crazy because you never heard it before, it’s not actually crazy.

New Moon in Scorpio — Walking on frozen water

On November 18th, 2017 we will be experiencing a New Moon in Scorpio.  New Moons represent the beginning of a new cycle as well as an end to an old cycle.  Scorpio’s power is that of transformation, death, and rebirth.  This time is a time of setting the stage for the next act in your life.

Scorpio also reveals the underlying motivations for particular harmful behaviors.  This particular New Moon will be in the 3rd decan, ushering an inside look at the problems of societies aimlessness.  Behaviors that are particularly damaging to the inner child’s development, will be highlighted and hopefully extinguished.  You have to see the actual damage that is being done to actually be inspired to do something about it.  This New Moon will point out the problems with alternative parenting, teenage depression, and opiate deaths of teenagers.  Normality and structure are frowned upon in this society, to its detriment nonetheless.  All you have to do is look at the President if we truly want to see what this country is all about.  This is a good time to switch off the “News” and spend some time in the darkness of the New Moon.  The womb of creation.

The three days leading up to the New Moon is referred to as the Dark Moon period when the moon becomes invisible which represents a liminal time.  The liminal figure I want to bring your attention to during this period is the Orisha Olokun.  These are times of transition and transformation.  Olokun represents the dark and cold bottom of the ocean.  The deep part where no light can get and no heat.  Just the dead marine life and plants that slowly travel to the lowest depths of the sea which no man can survive.  From these depths, Olokun stretches her wisdom and forms a bridge from one place to another.  Olokun represents the untouched and unmarked ideas embedded deep in your subconscious mind.  During the Dark Moon with proper concentration and focus, one can fulfill his wildest desires and hopes. Olokun holds the mysteries.  These times hold tremendous magical power if you’re not afraid of the Dark.  Certain deities are not discussed as much as others based on the liminality of the certain diety.  Most people are not ready to make the major transitions and transformations that require a change in scenery, environment, or perception.  There is a tremendous energy bestowing generosity and power if one deals with his/her interior.

This New Moon brings change based on its Uranus inconjunction.  Most people fear change and will find it hard to integrate themselves.  Learn to be flexible and open to change.  Set positive intentions through ritual.  Concentration and Focus is the solution to stagnation.  Making minor changes could bring major results if you take heed.

This Week in Astrology — Full Moon in Taurus

Awakening you to the Archetypal Movement during the week ahead.  The purpose of this blog is to make you aware of the energy available astrologically, for the purpose of spiritual and personal development.

On November 4th, 2017 there will be a Full Moon in Taurus opposed the Sun in Scorpio.  20 minutes before the Sun and the Moon come into exact opposition, Venus in Libra and Uranus in Aries come into an exact opposition as well.  This means a lot of change is in store in the realms of perception and love.

graph

The Full Moon in Taurus at the 11th Degree invites happy and smooth outcomes to any problem you may be facing on the material plane.  The Sun in Scorpio finds us answering for our past mistakes.  Denial and blameshifting are not looked upon favorably at this time alternatively accountability and taking responsibility for past mistakes will be rewarded favorably under this full moon.   The differences between the two actions mentioned above are whether you learned from your mistake or are you going to throw a pity party for yourself because you couldn’t live up to a particular standard.  This Full Moon is keeping you grounded through any turmoil you may be experiencing and will show up as a proverbial life raft in the nick of time.   Learning to unplug your self from outside sources and connect with yourself to align with what you love.

Venus will be opposing Uranus exactly 20 minutes before the full moon reaches it’s exact opposition, highlighting changes in your love life.  This is not limited to romantic love but anything you are connected to on a deep spiritual level.  What makes this a magical full moon is that no matter your present conditions or limitations, it will not be a factor during this time.  You can enact quick and rapid change for yourself at this time.  Will it last forever? That’s a whole other subject.  If you focus on areas where you are competent it will have effects in the areas where you lack competence.  Overall, change and excitement are on the cusp ready to spill over into your life, so be encouraged.

This Full Moon has an aspect of Neptune mixed in this go around, ushering in the magic to this current transit.  Neptune is the watery and illusionary world we live in.  Where we are and our current situation is 100% transitory.  We are in a state of constant flux and are generally positioned wherever are dominant thoughts lead us.  Where are your thoughts leading you? In the upcoming days reflect and examine your thoughts, determine your dominant thoughts, and you will determine your destination.  This is a time when your psychic abilities will be on high and your intuition will have you in the right place at the right time.  The work required during this Full Moon transit is for you to practice allowing instead of blocking.

This Week in Astrology – New Moon in Libra

This New Moon in Libra brings luck, misfortune, jokes, happenstance, and sudden changes.  This New Moon like all New Moons mark an ending of an old cycle and the beginning of a new cycle.  The New Moon is also known as the Dark Moon because it can not be seen at night with zero illumination.  This is in alignment with the darker aspects of  third decan Libra, just steps away from the transformative Scorpio, which this New Moon falls on.  Making the feeling of shifts and transitions palpable to the senses.  As we sail into the unknown, we can choose our emotion, since we truly don’t know where we are headed.  We can choose to be excited or dreadful.  The Suns travel through Virgo and Libra post eclipse has given us time to examine and analyze, now the time comes to make a decision moving into Scorpio.  This may not be a physical alignment more so an emotional commitment.  This New Moon being aligned with Jupiter matches our optimism with circumstance.  Words like happenstance, coincidence, and luck come into play during this time.  Putting yourself in the proper alignment mentally and emotionally is important.  Mercury’s influence on this New Moon provides the Comic Relief of this otherwise tough transit.  Comedy is based on truthful observations of daily life.  Noticing these baseless behaviors will provide a chuckle, giving you the proper alignment to experience the light within the darkness.   Can you recognize the joke and accept it, would be the question I would ask.  The most powerful aspect of this New Moon transit is its opposition to Uranus in Aries.  Uranus signifies major change, when there is an opposition to Uranus you can expect something big.  Donald Trump has a Moon oppose Uranus transit in his natal chart, as well as other polarizing celebrities.  You can expect this energy to create a massive flip out, so be conscious of how you personally will respond to this sudden change of events.

This Week in Astrology 10/10 to 10/14/17 (Jupiter in Scorpio)

Orishas of the Week: Oya and Obatala

Theme of the Week:  Letting go of the things that no longer serve us, preparation for transformation.

Jupiter enters Scorpio October 10th 2017

Where Jupiter in Libra was about working through our relationship with the outside world and balancing our inner work to find the greatest expansion of ourselves. Jupiter in Scorpio looks to bring optimism in our darker expressions to bring about expansion through transformation.  Jupiter in Libra was more of choosing your team, and now in Scorpio is more of a vetting of our teammates.  The question is, do they have what it takes.  Jupiter is optimistic and thus represents your optimism, Scorpio represents the darkness necessary for transformation.  Understanding why we go through what we go through and what did we learn from it will be the theme coming up in this current Jupiter Cycle.  Can we learn the benefits of darkness?  Our relationships will be what we bring into this cycle, Scorpio will alert us to the why.  Jupiter is seeking intimacy in Scorpio, the kind of intimacy that brings satisfaction to our carnal desires.  How you are able to handle this energy will be paramount to your expansion over the next 13 months.  Jupiter will be in Scorpio until 11/8/18.  Remember to being the light to any darkness you experience to overcome and thrive during this transit.

Venus in Virgo oppose Chiron in Pisces October 10th 2017

Venus in Virgo represents your love at its highest octave, its greatest potential.  What stands in the way of this is opposed Chiron in Pisces representing your deepest wound.  How adept at you at reconciling your pain and trauma?  Do you mask it or deal with it?  The question of how you actually deal with pain do you let it bring you down or do you cut it off.  In truth our greatest love comes from healing those wounds and moving forward from healing.  The falsehood is when we don’t deal or try to mask these pains and keep acting like it isn’t there.  Active healing is called for during this transit.

Mars in Virgo square Saturn in Sagittarius October 11th 2017

Whenever we experience an aspect to Saturn in Sagittarius the question comes are we aligned with our soul’s purpose.  If we are, Saturn rewards.  If we are not, Saturn disciplines.  Mars in Virgo represents our actions in the context of purpose, the challenge is making the right decisions.  Continuing to walk in our path if we have been sidelined, or managing begin to walk in our light will be highlighted under this transit.  Most people do not like this transit because it requires accountability to be on the positive side of it.  Remember that no shot goes in that you never shoot.

Venus in Virgo inconjunct Uranus in Aries October 11th 2017

Learning how to incorporate imperfections into your perfect vision.  Even better the imperfections of you is what makes you perfect, strange as it seems.  Venus in Virgo representing your highest octave of love, inconjunct/quincunx to Uranus in Aries represents your individual Soul Urge.  Inconjunctions represent integrating the different aspects of our lives.  So this particular aspect is based upon integrating perfection and the unpredictability of our urges and being okay where they lead us.  But at least we went for it.  Where can we let go of things that no longer serve us without emotional turmoil.

Mercury in Libra sextiles North Node October 12th 2017

This transit puts wings on our thoughts and ideas, raises them to another level.  Mercury in Libra is enhanced with balanced mental acuity.  So make sure to be active in the realms of communication, writing, and any creative projects.  Whether the break happens now or later, the work you do now will be the seed you need to plant for a later date.  Stay active.

Mercury in Libra sextiles Saturn in Sagittarius October 12th 2017

Continuing to work towards your future and being aligned with a positive one where you will be rewarded.  Opportunities don’t come knocking everyday and they don’t return because you missed the call.  The saying goes if you stay ready you never need to get ready.

Venus enters Libra October 14th 2017

Our love moves into a conceptual stage.  We begin to examine and investigate the love we truly seek as it evolves.  A perfect place to be to prepare for a New Moon in Libra happening on the 18th.  Libra being an Air Sign and Venus an Earth Planet, we can expect great changes in our ideas surrounding love and how it is expressed.

Keeping it Conscious Episode 5 – The Power of Symbols & The Art of Sigil Making

Symbols represent ideas and convey these ideas quickly. Like a number is just a symbol for the various computations of 1. Without having to add one, nine times, you just see the number 9, and its instant. Some symbols are beneficial, like the stop sign for example, but then there are other symbols like the cross or the swastika that manipulate the masses.

Even a letter is a symbol that forms other symbols we call words, that encode data without having to say the definition everytime we speak or see it. Instead of saying that man was walking very fast, we can make it shorter by just saying ‘running’. When you use a symbol you don’t have to think, your subconscious responds and does the thinking for you. So many symbols in the world are placed before you to control your subconscious mind. For this reason, it is important to begin to create your own symbols to activate your personal subconscious. When you realize that through your own imagination you can create powerful changes in your life. By taking back the power of symbolism and creating your own definitions for symbols, you begin to create your reality.

symbol-meditation-2-638

Impacting the subconscious mind is based upon its ability to accept the symbology you feed it. Symbols then are not to be worshipped but understood and directed. So many of us look to symbols and mythologies as powerful, if you take a step back, ultimately it is you that is giving them the power to your thoughts. Understanding the different modalities and ways to impact your subconscious mind allows us to experiment and see what the symbols truly mean, to us. This brings us to the topic of journaling and documenting our experiments, in order to define what these symbols mean to you personally. It could be that working with the cross brings you financial prosperity, or the swastika brings you inner peace and harmonious relationships. My point is you don’t truly know until you have done the work and came up with your own conclusions.
When creating symbols you have to work with them in your mind and properly identify the what, the who, the how, and the why. Creating an intention through power and assuredness raises the level of impact. Creating an intention through doubt and halfheartedness reduces the impact. One has to learn to put complete trust in their inner power and use the correct symbolism to activate it and get to our personal desires. Ase. Fill your mind with positivity and put decent work into creating the symbol and the story around you. Peace is the power, always remember.

symbol-meditation-7-638
Understanding sigil making, there is no correct or incorrect way to make one. A sigil is a word taken from Latin which means seal, a symbol used for magical purposes. A sigil has as much power as you the imagined gives it. I find it important to add that there are no pre-made sigils made for your personal success. Whoever made the sigil did not have you personally in mind, even if they did, you could never truly know their intent. Human beings live in multiple dimensions and most of them cannot be reached on a mundane level. To deal with yourself and your reality, I feel it is best to create your own sigil that impacts your own subconscious mind. The primary power in a sigil is derived from the fact that you created it, charged it, and it benefits you. Once the sigil is created you charge it through ritual then you forget it. This done because we want to forge this symbol and it’s intent in your subconscious mind without the conscious mind getting in the way.  The subconscious is our GPS, the sigil is the address, once the address is on the GPS all we have to do is follow the directions. How much good would the address be in traveling? Of course, it is the destination but just knowing it won’t get you there, you have to have directions to the destination. In a nutshell, this is the benefit of sigil magic in our magical practices. Build up the sigil, allow yourself to reach an altered state of consciousness, focus on the sigil, close the ritual, then burn the sigil, and go about your life. This is about autosuggestion, autopilot, giving yourself a direction without having to consciously will yourself there. Just flow with it. In creating your intentions avoid the words no and not, the subconscious doesn’t recognize those words and you will not like to attract that which you don’t want. Saying things like “I don’t want to get swarmed by bees” the subconscious reads it as ” I want to get swarmed by bees” and then your fucked. Recognizing that we don’t want to bring trauma into our magical practices, trauma reminds us of what we don’t want, and when we bring what we don’t want into magic, guess what you get? More of what you don’t want. So it is always best to concentrate on the magic of what you want. This is a more potent way to handle money, love, and overall life problems. By using a magical approach to impact the subconscious mind you will be amazed at how powerful you are.

Keeping it Conscious Episode 3 (The Persona and The Shadow)

The Persona as described by Carl Jung is the social face the individual presents to the world. In Latin, the persona is translated as a “mask, character.” So the object of the mask is to make an impression on the outside world, at the same time conceal the true nature of the individual. In the realms of consciousness, within the context of “not a human being with a soul but a soul having a human experience,” the persona is our human nature. When we identify with our persona exclusively, we come into problems. Simply because we could never be our mask. The persona is created around the ages of 6 – 12 years old when we are figuring out the attention we want to avoid versus the attention we want to seek. Understanding the persona as a mask and human nature, you have to recognize the danger of committing to the persona 100%. Ninety-nine percent of the population has little or no concept of themselves being distinct from what this world expects. We have to think of the Ego in this three-phase model: Persona, Consciousness, and Shadow. The unexamined persona is the outward symbol of ourselves and it has to be broken down, to be recreated new. By developing a more personal persona relative to your consciousness, that does not hide your true self but doesn’t eliminate you from a social existence. When we think we embody our best qualities and hide our worst, this creates the shadow. When we think we are our job, when people think of themselves as celebrities, or since they have wealth they are better off. So whenever we don’t deal with the things we dislike or the things we want to ignore, these things form the Shadow. The Shadow is not all bad, it’s good to know the things we dislike about our lives and the things we want to change. This is what is called a challenge, the solution is in every problem. The question is are you strong enough to say and do what is necessary. Shadows create definition and character.  With proper balance, you can create beautiful art. Without developing the shadow people become shallow and preoccupied with what others think about them. Balancing the light and dark is necessary for personal growth.
