New Moon in Scorpio — Walking on frozen water

On November 18th, 2017 we will be experiencing a New Moon in Scorpio.  New Moons represent the beginning of a new cycle as well as an end to an old cycle.  Scorpio’s power is that of transformation, death, and rebirth.  This time is a time of setting the stage for the next act in your life.

Scorpio also reveals the underlying motivations for particular harmful behaviors.  This particular New Moon will be in the 3rd decan, ushering an inside look at the problems of societies aimlessness.  Behaviors that are particularly damaging to the inner child’s development, will be highlighted and hopefully extinguished.  You have to see the actual damage that is being done to actually be inspired to do something about it.  This New Moon will point out the problems with alternative parenting, teenage depression, and opiate deaths of teenagers.  Normality and structure are frowned upon in this society, to its detriment nonetheless.  All you have to do is look at the President if we truly want to see what this country is all about.  This is a good time to switch off the “News” and spend some time in the darkness of the New Moon.  The womb of creation.

The three days leading up to the New Moon is referred to as the Dark Moon period when the moon becomes invisible which represents a liminal time.  The liminal figure I want to bring your attention to during this period is the Orisha Olokun.  These are times of transition and transformation.  Olokun represents the dark and cold bottom of the ocean.  The deep part where no light can get and no heat.  Just the dead marine life and plants that slowly travel to the lowest depths of the sea which no man can survive.  From these depths, Olokun stretches her wisdom and forms a bridge from one place to another.  Olokun represents the untouched and unmarked ideas embedded deep in your subconscious mind.  During the Dark Moon with proper concentration and focus, one can fulfill his wildest desires and hopes. Olokun holds the mysteries.  These times hold tremendous magical power if you’re not afraid of the Dark.  Certain deities are not discussed as much as others based on the liminality of the certain diety.  Most people are not ready to make the major transitions and transformations that require a change in scenery, environment, or perception.  There is a tremendous energy bestowing generosity and power if one deals with his/her interior.

This New Moon brings change based on its Uranus inconjunction.  Most people fear change and will find it hard to integrate themselves.  Learn to be flexible and open to change.  Set positive intentions through ritual.  Concentration and Focus is the solution to stagnation.  Making minor changes could bring major results if you take heed.

Keeping it Conscious Episode 4 – Shango, Root Chakra, Jay-z, and Power

Shango, Sango, Chango, or Xango is a diety/archetype in the Ifa, Yoruba, Santeria, and Voudoun pantheons. Literally meaning “to strike”, Shango is a masculine energy, representing the element of fire. His spiritual weapon the OSHE, a double-sided ax is used to destroy enemies. Spiritually Shango is Thunder, Lightning, Justice, Dance, and Virility. Simply Shango represents Power, creating power from the root chakra. Like starting a fire in the wilderness, the hardest part is just starting it. Once it is started and kindled, the environment sustains the fire. Just the same if you were to build energy up from the root chakra, once it rises you no longer have to start the fire but simply kindle and build your present fire. The hard part is starting. Shango’s archetype is Power on Earth. So understanding Shango is understanding your power. Once you understand your power you can use it and experience the results of it. Shango is a natural force within us. It is important to understand that when the ancestor’s transition, they do so within you, not in some obscure outer realm. The ancestors live inside of you. So working with Shango is you taking control of your existence. Becoming a leader. A warrior ready to destroy all of your enemies. Through Raising your Kundalini, building your energy from the root chakra, you destroy all known obstacles. Shango is the Orisha of Happiness.

I’m writing this October 4th, Jay-Z’s mentor Jaz-O’s birthday. Shango’s feast day is December 4th, the same as Jay-Z’s birthday. Shango and his wife Oshun gave birth to the first twins on earth the “Ibeji”. I find it odd that Jay-z and his wife Beyonce who is constantly compared to Oshun, just gave birth to twins this year. When you think about Jay-Z, whether you like him personally or not, you have to recognize the power he yields on this earth. So you can use Jay-Z as a symbol of how to embody Shango. Not to worship Jay-Z but to notice the synchronicities. Just something to think about.

Shango has many lovers, meaning he has no guilt or no shame attached to his truth. He is a dancer and loves to party. He is a King, a leader, but not afraid to have a good time. Working with Shango is about directing your desire, owning your desire, and not letting yourself become directed by another’s will. Shango is a great sorcerer and magician, focused on you living a full life. Shango is here to remind you that even though you have made mistakes, life still has a lot to offer you. So get up and dance. Shango is a Singular, Assertive energy. Shango can assist you with having better sex and having a more substantial relationship with your partner or new partners. By exciting your passion and energy, this incites your inner power. The opposite sex can’t resist power, especially women. As a man your problem is not women, it is you and your lack of power. Shango assists you. Shango raises your energy from Repressed to Expressed. When you can build your power to a particular level, you too will become irresistible. Shango helps us understand our personal magnetism, excites our passions, and increases our stamina(to please the ladies).

This Week in Astrology – Full Moon in Pisces (Mercury Retrograde)

Awakening you to the Archetypal Movement during the week ahead.  The purpose of this blog is to make you aware of the energy available astrologically, for the purpose of spiritual and personal development.

The archetypes of the planets manifest in all cultures and religions. Today, I will address one conspicuous manifestation I have observed in the realms of astrology and mythology. The planet within the Ifa/Youroba pantheon Mercury manifests through Èṣù or Exu, Echu, (Elegua, Eleggua, Elegbara, Elegba, Legba, Papa Legba and Eleda).  Eshu/Papa Legba is a trickster God, on one side you have a child and on the other you have an old man.  The message I received on the Solar Eclipse and Mercury Retrograde was an opportunity or a portal to heal that wounded child.  That child is your imagination or your i-magi-nation.  So in the aspects of love and money, some illusions have been placed before you to trigger that inner child.  It would be best to recognize it and heal it by offerings, music, comforting words and thoughts.  For so long we have oppressed our wounded child and covered it up with various activities to quiet it.  Now is a time to examine and heal our wounded child through this retrograde period.  So don’t get so caught up on the conditions of your reality that you can’t get past the conditions.  Mercury moves fast, it retrogrades, but it is never too far from the Sun.

As  Mercury retrogrades back into Leo (August 31) we enter a period of renewed focus and deep introspection that can lead to a master plan of action.  We are actively using our mind to cleanse old traumas and really working to healing that inner child, which gives us access to our higher powers.

Mercury moves backwards into a conjunction with Mars in Leo (September 3rd) forming a trine with Uranus in Aries.  This aspect is the base to a Fire Sign Grand Trine topped off by Saturn in Sagittarius.  The aspect between Mars/Mercury and Uranus is activated by individuality and divine action.  Don’t sleep on your ability to be an individual and creative, as opposed to the controlled minds of mass media.  This being the base to the Grand Trine, it is all supported by our highest path Saturn in Sagittarius.  Things like desire, motivation, lust. action, and divinity is all working towards your highest good.  The issue with Fire Signs and fire energy, if not properly kindled and worked with, it will be destructive.  So prepare to see blind frustration and pointing of fingers for the ones who have no creative outlets.  This particular aspect is extremely potent because it allows us to heal and direct the inner child, or just continue to let our wounded child run rampant.  Let us continue to trust ourselves because acting without properly thinking will be expected during this time.   All of this Mercurial, trickster type of energy is segued into the Full Moon in Pisces.

The Full Moon is when the Sun sits directly opposite the Moon, fully illuminating the Moon in Pisces.  The Sun is in Virgo, shining the light of our perfect vision across a murky sea of Pisces with the Moon conjunct Neptune.  What we see may shock us, yet we also must be aware of illusions and fantasies.  If you feel as if there is something you can’t handle the best thing you can do for yourself is to prepare.  The Sun in Virgo is looking into a world that is changing, that is a concept that is hard to grasp.  Don’t trust murky water, seek the clear and transparent waters.  That is a metaphor for the people we come into contact with.  It’s not pessimism its a realization that truth and love is not found in a murky sea, the water must be clear and blue.

As one cycle ends another one begins.  Mercury turns back direct and Mars progresses into Virgo.   Mars turns from a warrior to a craftsman.  And the tricks Mercury played in retrograde slowly start to reveal themselves.  At this point you should have some idea of the problems you need to work on and are able to work on them. Mercury is going direct at the same degree as the solar eclipse, making the whole course of this Mercury retrograde important. Keeping in mind the trine to Uranus, you can really open up your mind to new possibilities, conjunct with Mars is really putting that extra umph/action behind your thoughts. So use the energy. The negativity is the motivation for positive changes, remember that.

Pluto/Mars Conjunction/ Ogun Transit October 19, 2016

800px-veveogoun-svgPluto will conjunct Mars in Capricorn October 19, 2016.

First we will talk about Pluto.  This Planet is like the shadow, following you around everywhere you go, not making it’s presence known.  Shrouded in mystery, Pluto rules the sign Scorpio.  It represents the deep soul-like instincts.  It represents the dark times, before you know your inner-self, also the wisdom post transformation.

Next we will talk about Mars, we talk about a planet seeking redemption.  Our Warrior, Wizard, Magician, and High Priestess energy is tied up in this planet.  Mars is the Red Planet, representing the blood and/or bloodline.  This fight is ancestral and unconscious when MARS and PLUTO conjunct.

This conjunction is represented by the Orisha Ogun.  We can see us being rewarded justly and fairly, soon.  MARS/PLUTO is organizing a plan for the individual and the collective simultaneously.  So there will be no hesitation, the path will be clear.  Ogun carries an axe to clear the way for us.  When these planets align an AXE will appear in the sky and in our minds and open the path for us all.

Hillary Clinton was born with a Mars/Pluto Conjunct. This transit will inconjunct her natal placement in Leo, wielding her AXE to behead any competition.  October 19 will be a turning point for her.  She will reveal some deep dark secrets to put an end to her competition, securing her path to the 2016 Presidential Election.  I use her as an example of what energy is present FOR ALL OF US to access at this present time.

Let us be Calm and Peaceful and Observant, and witness a foundation shift in all of our lives.  Until Next Time.
