Psychedelic Therapy & Microdosing โ What These Documents Contain
ABOUT THESE RESOURCES
The two guides below this page provide a structured, evidence-informed introduction to two related but distinct
areas: psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) as practised in clinical research settings, and microdosing as a personal
wellness and self-inquiry practice.
Together they draw on the BrainFutures expert report An Expert-Informed Introduction to the Elements of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (2022) and the Aeon essay A Nine-Step Guide to a
Sensible Microdosing Programme by Tunde Aideyan, PhD (2025).
Nine-Step Microdosing Reference Table
A single-page visual reference drawn directly from the Aeon essay. Presents all nine steps of a sensible microdosing programme in a clean black-and-white table, step number, title, what it involves, and key guidance notes.
Beneath the nine steps sits a two-column Set & Setting table informed by the BrainFutures clinical report, covering mindset preparation, environmental considerations, music, safety, and integration.
Stamets Stack & Microdosing Protocol
The Stamets Stack is a structured microdosing protocol developed by mycologist Paul Stamets, combining three components taken together on dose days: Psilocybe cubensis, Lion’s Mane mushroom, and Niacin (Vitamin B3). The protocol follows a 14-day cycle of four days on and three days off, repeated twice, allowing the body to reset between doses and prevent tolerance build-up. Stamets theorises that together these three ingredients produce a compounding neurogenic and neuroprotective effect greater than any single component alone, making this one of the most structured and widely discussed approaches in the modern microdosing landscape.
